This shoe has quite a history. Several years ago, Christian Louboutin created a shoe for Roland Mouret to use on the runway that was a covered platform version of the infamous Pigalle. Gwen Stefani picked up a pair along the way and it started being called Gwenissima. Due to an agreement with Roland Mouret, Louboutin could not release this shoe so he created a very similar, yet slightly different version and called it Rolando. Rolande is the slingback version of this infamous shoe.
